Things that have been happening…..

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

I haven’t blogged in a while as i’ve been extremely busy, but i thought i’d let you all know what i’ve been up to and what’s been happening.  Well first of all, my Motion Graphics blog ‘Motion Design Love‘ has been going from strength to strength with a steady increase in visitors as well as some great recognition from the motion graphics community.  It’s been great to see this considering i only started the blog late last year.   Even more blogging has been on the cards with me as well after accepting the offer of being a contributing author on Fuel Your Motionography.  Look out for my articles over there!

I also purchased the fantastic Canon 550d which takes both amazing pictures and amazing video too.  Check out the video i shot below.

A few months ago I launched a Motion Graphics blog call Motion Design Love. Now it’s been a few months and it’s fairly established i thought that it would be a good opportunity to give the site a refresh in terms of the design.  So check out the first phase of the new design below and let me know what you think!

Motion Design Love - Loving Motion Design Around the Web

October Update and new blog launch!

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

It’s been a while since i last wrote a blog!  It’s been a hectic few months with lots going on but i thought it was about time to write another post.  One of the things i’ve been working on is a new Motion Graphics/Motion Design blog call Motion Design Love.

I’ve set the blog up so i can write and show some of the best bits of motion design, as well as writing tutorials and any other motion graphics news too. Go check it out, drop a comment, maybe even submit your own piece (when i’ve implemented that feature! :p).  I’m using a temporary theme on there at the moment whilst i iron out some of the details on the official theme, so it’ll be changing in the future but at least it looks decent now though!

I’m going to start blogging more regularly on here as well, hopefully it’ll be once a week.  At least that’s what i’m aiming for!

New Site: Dillon and Lee

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

I’ve recently completed another new website.  Dillon and Lee Hairdressing, a hair and beauty salon in Nottingham.  The site uses a combination of wordpress for the backend/blog/cms and hand written HTML and CSS on the front with a few enhancements using jQuery.

Dillon and Lee

I’m realy enjoying using wordpress at the moment, whilst it wasn’t originally designed as a CMS, i think it’s almost got to the point where they could turn it into a full CMS, it can already basically be done using a few plugins with Wordpress.
