Well it’s a week tomorrow that i’ll be doing my presentation (which also happens to be the last hand in at uni!) I’ve been working on my evaluation presentation in which i have looked at my project, and had to critically evaluate it by looking at my aims and objectives and how i achieved them. I have also evaluated my prototype and progressed to a new final product which is a flash based ‘book’. In this evaluation presentation i also have to say what i would do differently if i did the project again.

I haven’t had chance to blog for quite a while so though i would provide a quick update of what i’ve been doing over easter. With both projects now being handed in it’s time for the evealuations to begin.

For my PRP evaluation i discussed with Roma, the ways in which i could evaluate it and take it a stage further. We agreed that i should devlop my website so it is something that can go in my portfolio. We decidesd that i should do an interactive newspaper in flash, as this challenges the question i asked at the beginning.I am in the proces of finishing the design for this and will be coding and devloping it over the coming weeks.

For my client evaluation, i spoke to Adrain to see what my options were as a felt that for my type of project, i couldn’t evaluate it neccasarily how it would be in th real world, so we came up with a number of other ways to do this. I have also managed to source some idents from the same brief given to somebody else, which some provide some interesting feedback. I am now in the process of working on any changes to the ident package ready for the hand in at the end of april.

I have also been working on the website www.pipalina.co.uk for somebody and am in the process of completion for the website. She makes her own hand knitted fashion products, so go check the website out!

So the deadline for the Personal Research Prototype was today, and after lots of blood, sweat and tears i finally handed it in! The digital prototype is avaliable at www.deathofprint.co.uk

Well with the christmas break becoming well and truely behind us, and the new year now in force, i though it would be worht updating whats happened over the xmas ‘break’. Although you could hardly call it a break as i’ve always seemed to have work to do.

Finally managed to get my dissertation pretty much well and truely written (all 12,000 words of it) now i’ve got to do my references and appendices for it! I’ve also got to do the website and DVD and theres only a week to go! (I feel this is the easier part though!)

Well i’ve wrote just over 5000 words as we speak, so i’m just about half way towards my word count that i set myself. 4 weeks to write 5000 more words?
